Miko stood in the old temple, waiting. She'd been trying to contact the rather odd red-and-blue hero she'd encountered a couple days before, when fighting that Mirror Monster in the bakery. She'd tried every method she knew, making the message abundantly clear she wanted to meet here in this old, abandoned Shinto temple. If he were the secretive type, it provided him plenty of places to hide while allowing her plenty of defensive positions if he proved hostile. She also had some Zectrooper units on standby.

Tomoko sighed. Whoever that Rider was the other day, they made sure that she got the message, all right... The only reason she wasn't going to meet him sooner was because Satomi didn't want her being caught dead wearing the old costume once she started designing the new one. Walking towards the temple, she quickly ducked off to the side and transformed before she used her webs to swing along the forest, arriving at the temple itself.

"Something incoming, swinging through the trees." She'd also borrowed a couple of agents from Intelligence. Chief Nakagawa had practically begged her to bring them along, wanting to know more about this new player. So they'd been keeping watch, keeping in touch via an earpiece hidden inside Miko's ear. Miko heard the rustling, and turned to see the new arrival swinging in. She waited for the him to start the conversation.

Tomoko finally landed in front of Miko. "I take it you wanted to meet me here?" she asked her.

Well, this was... unexpected. This was obviously a new costume. Her old one had not been as... flattering. "Um, yes. Yes I did." Miko replied. "Let's get to the point; do you have a name?"

"Spider-Girl," Tomoko told her. "Unless you want my real name. The answer to that is 'I don't have one, I lost it in a tragic nametag swapping accident.'"

Miko was unfazed. "Alright, Spider-Girl, are you any kind of eminent threat or enemy to the United Rider System Association?" Bluntness was her friend. Besides, there was no real reason to try and hide why she wanted to speak to this "Spider-Girl". She had to place her somewhere on the threat matrix if she wasn't willing to simply throw in with URSA.

"URSA? I've got nothing against them. My gramps fought with them the last year of the war, so I don't know why I'd be fighting you guys."

"Your 'gramps'?" Miko asked. "We do seem to have record of a "Spider-Man", Takuya Yamashiro, fighting in the twilight years of open war." One of her intel agents outside said in her earpiece. "I'll get records on his known grandchildren."

Tomoko nodded. "Is there any other questions you'd like to ask me, or can I go. I'm kind of busy between saving Tokyo and having a life."

"Well, we actually need to make sure you're not a problem. It's not every day a new hero pops onto the scene." Miko said. "URSA can keep Tokyo well under control while we talk. Now, what exactly can you do?" "We have two grandchildren on record, Satomi and Tomoko. Should we check on their house, to see who isn't home?" Miko brushed her hair back over her left ear, making a tiny gesture to answer the question in the negative. Hopefully Ms. Yamashiro here wouldn't notice she was having a rather one-sided conversation with a group of uber-secret intelligence people, and that she had several mitary units on standby. And a Driver on her person.

"Let's see... Wall-crawling, web-slinging, being extremely attractive under this mask, and all sorts of other things I'm still getting used to."

"Since your grandfather had similar abilities, I assume these are hereditary?" Miko asked. "Uh, there's something moving in there. We're getting monster signals." The agent on the other side of her earpiece said. "Faint, but there."

"Yes! Yes they are!!" Tomoko said, a little too quickly. However, before she could go on, her Spider-Sense started to tingle. "Something's here..."

"Um, okay then..." Miko muttered. In the shadows of the ceiling above them, something stirred. Several threads, almost invisible, dropped into place in the room around them. "Did the generation between you and your grandfather develop abilities?"
