When Kate arrived at URSA HQ, she'd gone by herself, forgoing the usual Last Raven guard, with two briefcases in hand. The foyer was strangely empty, and she could hear shouts in the distance. Something was up, perhaps? Well you know what they say about golden opportunities...when you see one, take it. Quietly she ducks into an elevator and heads to the URSA Science wing, unaccosted by guards. She was looking for someone there. Someone who might share her ideals, or at the very least, be head and shoulders above the rest of URSA's science team...the same team that didn't ask questions and allowed a tragedy to happen.

Paul was alone in the lab, working on his latest experiment. Of course, it was of the utmost secrecy, which was why the lab had been cleared.

"Paul Herbert?" The voice of the blonde rang out, as she walked into the lab and closed the door behind her. "I know all too well the annoyance of being asked to step away from your work, but I believe you'll appreciate the reward. Kate Johnson. Last Raven Science and Technology Division." she introduces, placing her briefcases down on an empty table.

Oh joy. Paul forgot to lock the door. Again. Paul closed his eyes and sighed, calming himself down.
"What's all this?" he asked, gesturing to the briefcases.

"Something interesting." Kate said, looking at you. "Are you someone who asks questions when they have to be? Someone didn't ask enough questions, and ARROW happened. This mustn't happen again. I need someone I can trust, to liase between URSA's science division, and my own. A link that isn't obstructed by red tape.." she gave. "Are you following me so far?"

"I don't ask, I do." Paul replied, lifting one of the briefcases and weighing it in his hand. "What's in these?"

A smile curls across her face. "Good." Taking the briefcase away, she opens it up. "My masterpiece. Genesis Driver, Lemon Energy Lockseed. The one who wields these, stands at the top of the chain, and has the most power. Here's my proposal Mister Herbert. Be the liaison from the URSA science division and cement our alliance further. You'll make sure that your research goes through, and help them as necessary. In exchange, I'm giving you one of these. There's two, you see. The ultimate lemon. Doesn't explode, but it makes your enemy's life a living hell. And you'll be my equal." Of course, she also needed a test subject, but she figured he more than anyone would understand the value of proper data.

Paul removed the Genesis Driver from the briefcase and examined it under a light. It was certainly genuine, so she was at least honest.

She stares as he runs his tests. Would he be close to her ideals? Or had she gravely underestimated the man?

"It's fully functional, yes?" Paul asked, now examining the Lemon Energy Lockseed. He had examined Sengoku's work before, but had never imagined that it would be this...exquisite.

"Yes. It is." She comments, opening up the second briefcase and taking out her own Driver, strapping it on her waist in demonstration.

"Might I have a demonstration of it?" Paul asked, opening and closing the Lockseed.

"Very well." She produces the Lemon Energy Lockseed, palming it forward and calling "Henshin." as she follows through with a legendary pose from the original insane scientist who worked on this.
"Lemon Energy."
Then she puts it in the Driver.
"Lock On."
The fruit appears above her from an artificial crack, and she pushes the lever.
"Soda. Lemon Energy Arms: Fight Power, Fight Power, Fi-Fi-Fi-Fi Fi-Fi-Fi-FI!"

"Hm." Paul observed the transformation, comparing the Driver his unusual scientist companion wore to the one he held. If that was the case...
"I'll take the deal."

"Good." She smiles underneath the helmet, the transformation reversing. "Pleasure doing business with you." she gave, collecting her own briefcase while leaving the other there with him.
