"Not that kind of feeling," Tomoyo said, "I mean like...more stamina, endurance...that sort of thing."

"I've always had pretty good stamina, I am a ballerina after all, but I guess you're right. I do feel a little..stronger."

"Then they were right, the Statue of Horus, also affected you...you are like me now. You have special powers, you are an Avian Ranger."

"Horus..? As in the Egyptian God? But i'm Catholic! Well technically.. I haven't been to Church in like forever."
"So Avian Ranger.. what is that exactly?"

"Yes well we didn't have a choice," Tomoyo said as she looked up to Gisela, "the Avian Rangers are comprised of people who has been affected by the Statue of Horus, we are gathered together in order to fight against threats to the world and to kill anyone that gets in the way of world peace no matter the cost."

"Fighting..? Killing..?" she shook her head, "I'm sorry, but I think you have the wrong person."
She handed the device to Tomoyo, "I can't and won't do either of those things even if I was chosen by some divine bird-man."

"You don't have a choice," Tomoyo said handing it back to Gisela, "only you can use this power no one else; and besides I may say 'killing', but you won't actually kill anyone it was just a figure of speech."

Gisela frowned, "I don't think you mean that. Tell me, have you actually killed someone before? An actual flesh and blood person with hopes and dreams of their own?"

"Hmm...no not really," Tomoyo said, "but I have slain monsters and the like that bleed...does that count?" she asked.

"I have never met a monster myself except for hearing of them in rumor, but really when it comes down to it.. aren't monsters people too? What makes them different from us?"

"Maybe...for the fact that they are killing people and destroying our lives?" Tomoyo remarked.

Gisela sat down on the bed, "And that makes them different from people how?"

Tomoyo didn't understand the question, "They are monsters...they do not belong in this world, they are a threat and therefore must be eliminated," she said.

"Who told you that? Horus? To the view of the plants and the animals, we are what not belongs."
The room began to grow noticeably colder.

Tomoyo shook her head, "No...the government, the ones that traced back the powers to us and recruited me, gave me a purpose."
