As she's contemplating her Lockseed, something small and black catches Lucas' eye, and he picks it up. "Hmm..looks like junk, but.." he traces his finger along the edges of the depression in the middle. "I wonder if something will fit in here?" Checking the price tag, he decides to buy it, also picking a scarf for her as well. He meanders back over towards the counter, looking around for Andrea.

Andrea was making her way to the counter, Lockseed in hand. "Lucas!" she called out, smiling. "You won't believe what I found!"

He quickens his step over, just casually holding the black piece in his hand and a scarf. "Oh? ...wait, that's like your Orange thing isn't it? That's awesome!" he gave her a grin. "Can't say I found anything so spectacular. A piece of junk and a scarf for you."

"It's a um, gift for the winter?" He offers shyly, rubbing the back of his head. Once he puts the scarf up on the counter though, the black piece is visible, and maybe Andrea can ask about it.

"Oh, this? At first I thought it was a piece of junk, but.." he holds it up so she can see the depression. "I think something fits in there. Can't hurt to get it, right?"

Andrea inspected the depression before she had an idea. Opening up the Lockseed, she inserted it into the plate... But nothing happened.

Lucas just kinda stares at it. "It doesn't work?" He gave, casually paying for the items since this was more important. They'd square up outside if they needed to.

Andrea shook her head. "That said, this thing looks like it was designed for Lockseeds... In addition to the indentation, there's the part that keeps the latch in place."
