"Do you wanna be worth something in that regard?" Davi pulled her into the elevator and waited for the door to close. "And pardon me if I seem a little forward, but it was your parents who goaded you into this, wasn't it?"

"That's fair enough." Davi said, nodding. "But you know, you could make the best of things. Sometimes life doesn't always go like you want it to. I didn't really wanna do it, but I had to emancipate myself from my family. I went from a life of relative luxury to a life of hard knocks, a lot of pain and a lot of gain." she shrugs a little.
"Maybe it's something to think about. Even if you're not fully into the training, or whatever...isn't there someone you want to protect?"

"Sure. There probably are people who can do better. For every person out there, there is someone that could probably do better than that person. But does that mean that you aren't supposed to try? That you just..give up?" Davi asked, before shaking her head.
"Maybe that is what you want to do, is give up. And I'm not judging you for that. But I want you to ask yourself this question. You enjoy your life as it is, because you're free, for the most part." she activates her brace to show a picture of a Goumin footsoldier. "But what are you going to do if a battalion of these guys comes in, takes over your town. Rounds up people you know and takes them off to camps, or worse, executes them? Would you honestly just stand there and trudge along as they took you away? Or would you want to fight back. Or even better, prevent the problem instead of solving it?" Davi shrugs a bit. "I don't expect my words to have an impact. I don't expect them to change your mind. What I do expect, is for you to think about it without the pressure that your parents put on you. What would Quinn do? In the end, go with the choice you'll regret the least."

The elevator opens, and Davi shrugs and walks out. "C'mon newbie. Ya don't like it, so let's get this over with." she opens the door to the training room and waits for you.
