James had time off. It had been solely the result of his superiors learning about his Ranger powers despite him keeping them hidden. They saw the need for him to travel, so allowed him to do so in order to fight. He had helped deal with an attack in Japan, and was now just waiting a day for a flight back with nothing else to do.
He was out for a walk, spinning his Ranger Key around his fingers, bored.

Kasumi whistled to herself as she walked down the street, she had the day off today so she had nothing to do until night came. It was a pity that she wasn't able to party during the day since that would have passed the time quickly, but she supposed that being drunk 24/7 would probably not be a good idea. She decided to go to her favourite bar and just chat with a cute guy or something like that as she became slightly absentminded on the pondering of things.

He stopped flipping his Key as his phone rang. He pocketed the Ranger Key and pulled out his cell, "Tomorrow. I can't get back today," he told his boss, "The thing ended faster than expected, I wasn't the only one responding." He hung up and pulled out his Key again, playing with it to pass time as he walked off again.
He looked at a bar as he stopped, but figured it might not be a good idea. Japanese alcohol didn't seem to agree with him. Or was it American too? He wasn't sure how it worked, but he hated sake..

Kasumi arrived at the bar as she ordered some water, she knew from past experiences that getting drunk during the day would not end well with her, plus she could easily be called back to duty even if it's her day off. "Troublesome," she said as she browsed through her cellphone wondering if any of her 'party buddies' would be available for a drink or two as she sighed and looked out hoping to see something interesting.

Ah, screw it. He went inside. Might as well, while he was here. He sat down and ordered some sake, even if he hated it. Once was enough, but as long as he got it out of the way, he could say it wasn't a waste. Besides, maybe it tasted better in Japan itself, rather than the States.

Kasumi eyed a foreigner entering the bar as she smiled to herself, he was cute but he was probably a little bit naive about what things tasted like around here, she enjoyed the reactions that people had when they tasted sake for the first time. She drank the glass empty while watching him from the corner of her eyes.

He took his order and paid immediately. He drank the cup and pushed it aside, "Yeah, just as bad as I remember it," he muttered. He sighed and remained there for now instead of leaving.

Smiling Kasumi thought it be fun to tease him as she moved from her table and went over to him, "Hello, do you mind if I sit here?" she asked.

He gave her a small smile and directed to a seat, "Go ahead," he said.

"Thanks," she said sitting across from him, "so where are you from? You're obviously not from around here, are you here on holiday? Or are you on business?"

"From Sheffield in England. Though I'm in America now," he said, "Business. James Anders."

"Wow from England? That's amazing and America too!" Kasumi giggled, "I'm Kasumi Noda...so what kind of business is it? What kind of job?"

"EMT," he told her.

"You're an EMT? Wow you don't look like one, but then why are you here in Japan for business? Oh! Is there a conference for EMTs or something like that?"

"I don't look like one?" he questioned, "Conference thing, yeah," he lied.
