Satoshi sat in his train compartment. This train had become more of his home than he'd ever have thought. He sat at his Go board, finding his solace there, although there was nobody around to play with him now. He figured he'd encounter someone soon enough, but the rest of the team seemed to mostly come and go and never stay around long enough, but still, he was there for them.

Annabelle was studying back in her compartment. She had a test in business ethics coming up, and she had to hit the books hard. Her duties with the IDTA had robbed her of a good deal of studying time, and the stupid restrictions on time travel made it worse. At least she had a train that could go anywhere in the world. That was nice.

It was quiet, so Satoshi rose and left his car, going through the other ones. It was more an excuse to be up and stretching his legs.

Annabelle looked up for a moment to see Satoshi, and returned to her books. Under other circumstances she'd have greeted him and probably gotten him something baked and warm, but she was otherwise occupied.

"Business ethics? Sounds like dull reading," he commented as he made his way through, not intending to stay.

"It's no Gaiman." Annabelle agreed, barely even looking up. "But it's better n' failing this course and havin' to take it again."

"Good luck with that then," he said, "I'd help if I could."

"If you know anything about the proper way for a establishment in the business of hospitality to conduct its affairs, you just might be able to." Annabelle replied.

"I had a creepin' feeling that was the case." Annabelle muttered.

"Business was never something I was in anyway. And ethics are far from my strong suit."

"This is what comes with the territory when one chooses to study hotel and restaurant management." Annabelle replied. "Not that I regret the decision."

"And is that what you want to do with your life?" he asked.

"The hospitality business is what I like. I like to make people happy, so hospitality." Annabelle shrugged her shoulders. "I like it plenty."

"Very far cry from what I used to do."
