Even in the face of adversity, she remains honest, kind, gentle and dilligent, and maybe a bit overprotective about her sister. She likes to try out new things, but usually messes up, breaks something, and gets all flustered. She does have a serious side, and it shows when she fights.

History

Mirai grew up on the planet Vanaheim with her sister, Haruka. She lived on the artificial landmass in the northern hemisphere known as Jeldrax (translates from ancient Vanir language as "Great Port"). From a young age, she was taught to have faith in the Presenters, the gods of the Vanir. She looked out for her sister a lot, growing extremely protective of her. She found friends in Kanata Hoshikawa and Eiji Seiun, who were about her age. Together, they set out to become Solar Marines, agreeing to form their own cel, once they qualified to become Marines.

Shortly, that time came, and Mirai, Kanata and Eiji formed their own cel in the Solar Marine Corps. They served a couple missions together, until a near disastrous event set a strange chain of events into motion.

Mirai woke up one day to find Vanaheim under attack from an armada of unknown alien ships. She grabbed Haruka, who had enrolled as a Solar Marine not a few months prior, and joined up with her cel. They received orders, not to defend the planet, but to leave it behind. They were sent to a long range spaceship, and given a mysterious box by monks. The ship took off, hoping to rendevous with a nearby fleet. A stray blast threw the ship off course, unfortunately, where it entered a wormhole and arrived in Earth's solar system, crashing into the moon. With nowhere else to go, Mirai, Haruka, Kanata and Eiji decided to transport to the closest inhabited planet, in order to find the materials necessary to rebuild their ship.

Overview: Of all the refugees, Haruka has the hardest time fitting in with the humans. She attempts to blend in by pulling very cleverly devised pranks on her human peers (and sometimes her Vanir peers). She has just as much energy as her sister, maybe even a bit more. Like her sister, her more serious side shows when she has to fight.

History

Haruka grew up on the planet Vanaheim with her sister, Mirai. She lived on the artificial landmass in the northern hemisphere known as Jeldrax (translates from ancient Vanir as "Great Port"). From a young age, she was taught to have faith in the Presenters, the gods of the Vanir. Haruka was a bit of a prankster, getting into trouble multiple times. Of course, she protested that she was only trying to do the right thing. She only pulled pranks on people who deserved it, such as kids who picked on other kids.

Mirai was very protective of her, but perhaps a bit TOO protective of her. Though they were as close as sisters can be, Haruka thought that Mirai was restricting her possible futures, especially when Mirai suggested she try to be something other than a Solar Marine. That was the last time on Vanaheim that they disagreed, as Haruka joined up as a Cadet shortly afterwards.

Haruka didn't have as much time as her sister to get acquainted to the life of a Solar Marine, however, as Vanaheim came under attack from the alien armada. Haruka was bundled in a spaceship with Mirai and her cel of Solar Marines, and sent away with a mysterious box. Their spaceship was knocked into a wormhole, unfortunately, and crashed into Earth's moon. Haruka agreed to assist in the search for parts to repair their ship, while simultaneously integrating into a Japanese middle school.

Overview: Kanata appears to be perpetually grumpy, often finding something to complain about, even if there's nothing to complain about. She is often viewed by the other refugees as a bit of a downer. She does, however, have a gentler side. Those who see it count themselves among a unique few.

Kanata grew up on the planet Vanaheim as the only child of the prestigious Hoshikawa bloodline, who were rooted in Vanir traditions. She lived on one of the few natural landmasses the planet boasted. From a young age, she was taught to have faith in the Presenters, the gods of the Vanir. She was, in fact, being raised to become a priestess of the Presenters, called a Prior, but she rejected the notion in favour of becoming a Solar Marine. She found friends in Mirai Suenaga and Eiji Seiun, who were about her age. Together, they set out to become Solar Marines, agreeing to form their own cel, once they qualified to become Marines.

History

Eiji grew up on the planet Vanaheim with his fairly extensive family. He lived on a floating farm that his family owned. From a young age, he was taught to have faith in the Presenters, the gods of the Vanir. He didn't exactly have much contact with the rest of Vanaheim, so it was difficult to make friends outside of his family. He was also fairly poor by Vanir standards. His family couldn't exactly afford him a ring with a jewel in, so he had to make-do with one made out of purely metal.

As soon as he was old enough, he decided to leave the farm-ship and take up the life of a Solar Marine. While training as a Cadet, he met Mirai and Kanata, becoming fast friends with them. During his time as a Cadet, he showed an expertise with machinery and engineering. Soon enough, he graduated from the academy, forming a cel with Mirai and Kanata.

Unfortunately, Vanaheim came under attack from an aggressive alien armada. Eiji's cel and Mirai's sister were bundled into a ship with a mysterious box and sent away from Vanaheim. The ship, however, fell through a wormhole and crashed on Earth's moon. Eiji and the others immediately set to work repairing the ship, and integrating themselves into Earth life in order to find the necessary parts.
