Overview:
Aurelio has lived a long time, and gone through various different personalities and ways of living. Currently, for the last two hundred or so years, he’s been enjoying the company of women to tide himself over. It’s only become easier in the present day, and he loves it. He loves to sleep with women, have women, be with women.
He’s a self-centered, conceited man. He thinks very highly of himself, and is not humble in any way. He’s very cocky and talks more about himself than anything else, although he does inquire into people of interest, of which there aren’t many. He’d rather talk about himself, talk himself up, and get his woman. He has no business or personal prospects besides pleasure and passion, so he has no other reasons to ask people about themselves. He likes to get his way, and if he doesn’t, bad things happen. He also very much has an aversion to the truth.
He’s chosen to ignore most current world events. Sure, there’s an alien fleet, and invasion, but he just doesn’t care. He’s immortal. He’ll kill his way through them with ease. He’d rather just enjoy himself and not have to take sides. If he did have to take sides, well, he doesn’t know where he’d go, but he figures human women are more attractive, and would side with humanity.
Deep down he does have a sympathetic side, especially towards his family. He longs for the past, for home some days, for their complete family. There are times when this gets dragged out of him, and he can be emotional and exploited. A few women have seen this side of himself, but he puts it away quickly and makes them forget.
He doesn’t really have any cares, and acts as a man whose entire life is a party that just never ends. His humor stems from sarcasm and wit more than anything else, and he doesn’t take many things seriously at all. Even in danger, he laughs and makes sarcastic remarks, primarily because he’s immortal and has nothing to worry about, short of having his head taken off, which is unlikely.
He drinks a lot, mostly for something to do. He’s done drugs, and has some around his large house (another sign of his lack of modesty of any sort). He mostly uses these things to alleviate his boredom. There are only so many times you can rip someone apart, or make a sacrifice, or have sex before you get bored and it all becomes the same. At least these substances help make things different.
He is very bored, but he likes living. He could die at any time by just stopping drinking blood and doing sacrifices, but he chooses to live. Living is hard, dying is easy. But for him, both are hard. He’s bored of life, but he’s afraid of death. Vastly afraid. He’s afraid that if there is a God, that he’ll be judged horribly for the people he’s killed, and that a life of eternal boredom is better than a life of eternal damnation in Hell. There was a time in the past he was religious, but he’s lost it due to his immortal nature and the things he’s seen.
He has a strained relationship with his family. Some of his siblings he likes, and tolerates, while others he hates and will gladly fight with for no reason at all. He’s very fearful of his father, who is the strongest of the entire family, and would gladly kill his children. He has a working relationship with him, basically solely to ensure his own life.
He is capable of having real feelings, and holding actual love, but it hasn’t been that way in years. He once loved a woman named Katherine, but she was taken from him by his father, which forced Aurelio’s hand, making him work with his father from that point on. After her death, he shut off of emotions.
There’s a part of him that hopes to restore his family bonds, but there’s a greater part of him (and common sense) saying that it’s never going to happen.
Overall, he’s ruled by emotions and spur of the moment actions. He may shut off of feelings, but he can still feel things. He may not react the proper ways to them, or show them to people, but emotions dictate his actions, as stupid as they may be sometimes. He doesn’t think a lot of things through, but just does what feels right to him.

History
Born in somewhere around 1125 AD, the Maerti family lived in Italy. They had wealth and power, with a mother, father, servants, and seven children. Aurelio was one of the older children. He was brought up in the Maerti household to be someone of worth to society, to be someone of power.
He had a decent childhood, with some familial strain, while others he really liked. It varied on the sibling. He grew up with a sense of duty instilled into him, and a love of family, which would later be burned in the years to come.
When he was approximately thirty, his father had organized the family to be part of an alchemic/magical experiment. Using blood magic, the siblings and their parents were made immortal, made into Blood-Borne. So long as they drank blood and made sacrifices, they would theoretically live forever (blood was needed, due to the rate it passed through the body without the body producing enough on its own, and the sacrifices were superstition more than fact).
He lived the years exploring the limits of his power. He watched the world grow, and grew with it, enjoying his money and power, enjoying his body. He fought, he loved, he did everything he could to make himself happy.
He became bored of it after a number of years. Watching people grow, age, and die got boring. It got sad. He started to consider death, but then decided he’d killed too many people and done too many terrible things. If God was real, he’d rather be alive forever than face Him.
He began to love the current time, due to how much looser women have become. In the 1990’s he fell in love with a woman named Katherine, and he was planning on replicating the spell to make her immortal so they could be together forever. Their father found him, and he killed Katherine to make a point to Aurelio.
Aurelio was brought under his father’s thumb at that point. His father wanted to kill his own children, but by making an alliance, Aurelio was safe, for now. He lives in a loose alliance with him, with strained familial bonds, and with his emotions pretty much shut off.
