Overview:
A relaxed person most people wouldn’t associate Malcom’s job to that of a federal agent. He isn’t the kind of person that is hard on anyone and is always ready to light up someone’s smoke or listen to their problems; some would go as far as to say that he’s not suitable to being an FBI agent, but those that have worked with him will attest that he is more than qualified to be one and could probably become director of the FBI one day.
He tries to work with people and work through their issues and as such he has a blunt personality and will speak what is on his mind whether or not it would offend the person or make them mad at him. He believes that teamwork is able to succeed if everyone is honest to each other and that there are no secrets.
His personal case is the unsolved murder of his wife during the Zangyack invasion. He believes the perpetrator to be a human and not Zangyack and as such he harbors no underlying hatred for them and simply views them as foreign invaders that needs to be expelled. However because the criminal remains at large he dislikes cold cases as it reminds of his own cold case and he especially dislikes it when criminals are unable to be located as he knows it is impossible for them to vanish off the face of the earth.

The helmet always comes after the basesuit and weapons, so that an officer whose morpher is malfunctioning can still acquire some form of armor and weaponry.

Abilities:The Deka Suits are amade of a flexible clothlike metal called Deka Metal which allows for limited limited bulletproofing as well as limited impact armoring. It also somewhat increases the officer’s innate abilities and reports their vital signs both to DekaBase and, with some scrolling/searching, the SP Badge. On top of abilities listed above, the SP Badge allows the user to judge criminals by sending all available evidence to the Psychic Judge Network who will attach jeopardy and deliver the verdict in exactly five seconds, can send arrested individuals to the Null Void (or other less permanent, act as a communicator, keep notes and audio/visual recordings of evidence, receive Execute And Delete orders, access police records, use Masquerade Mode to create disguises, and be used as an actual police badge (though actual metal badges are given out).

History
Ever since he was a boy Malcom had always been interested in cowboys, his dad had a large collection of old western movies and he spent many weekends watching them with his family. He loved the wild thrill of gunfights and the heart-pounding horse races and being in Texas it wasn’t hard to imagine it in real life.
At school Malcom would reenact these gunfights with his friends, which brought concern to the teachers and other parents who thought that Malcom was becoming too violent with his reenacments and feared what he would become. They spoke to his parents who told him not to reenact what he saw on TV and to save it for his home, he was disappointed, but he dutifully obeyed his parents and kept playing with himself slowly isolating himself from his peers.
As he grew older he began to think about what would be the best career choice for him. Naturally there were no more cowboys in the modern era and he was very much confused about what he wanted to do before he decided to go into law enforcement. They might not have the heart-pounding horse rides, but they sure have the thrilling gun fight now and again and it was an easy enough job for the athletic Malcom.
He joined the Texas Rangers as they were heavily surrounded by the Old West myths and he became an ace shot in the shooting range. Being an easy going person he quickly made friends both in the law enforcement as well as petty criminals who were grateful for his lenient ways when he caught them with petty cash or other minor crimes.
After serving 7 years with the Texas Rangers he was recommended to the FBI where his skills would be best used. He was hesitant as the FBI did not draw him in as the Texas Rangers did, but many of his peers, and criminal informants, encouraged him to become an FBI agent and so he gave it a try and became successful at it. It is where he also met his wife, a criminal prosecutor, where the two of them fell in love at first sight and were soon married.
However it was not all happy endings as one day during the first Zangyack invasion he came home to take his wife to a safe place to find that she had been murdered. The FBI immediately began investigating and fingers were pointing at Zangyack who had a habit of having collateral damage when fighting against the world’s military. However further investigation concluded that the criminal was a human and not an alien and therefore to this day Malcom continues to work on the case long after it was declared unsolveable believing that the real criminal was out there.
When Zangyack returned for the second time he was given the rare opportunity to become DekaRed and be the field commanders for the DekaRangers; although he did not want to fight on the frontlines believing that there were more people suitable to the task he could not deny it either because he knew what would happen and therefore he accepted it and went to Chicago to meet with his team.
