Overview: Jonouchi was once a dandy obsessed with fame and being the very best. He's still like that, but now he has the skills and the physique to back it up. Oren started him on his journey to being a real man, but war hardened him and made him what he is today. Sometimes he lies awake at night, afraid that when he closes his eyes he'll be right back there - in that never-ending Hell.

History
Jonouchi's father was a powerful politician, his mother was a rising starlet. The problem was that Jonouchi's mom was not his father's wife. His father was already married and she wasn't too happy when she found out about her husband's little "accident."
Jonouchi's father managed to keep his wife off their case especially when she was gifted with a child of her own. Jonounchi and his mother were given there on place in a small village called Zawame. The village was poor and struggling to make it by until a mega corporation called Yggdrasill took over, rebuilding it into a grand city.
It was some years later that the Invess Game began and Jonouchi formed Team Invitto in order to compete for fame and glory. His mother's popularity faded throughout the years along with her looks. Jonouchi decided to take on her dream for her and finally get his father to notice him instead of his genius half-brother.
Some time into the Invess Game, the Armored Rider was born. It wasn't too long that Jonouchi received his own Sengoku Driver and teamed up with Teams Baron and Raid Wild to dethrone Team Gaim. Hase, the leader of Team Raid Wild, gave him the name Armored Rider Guridon which he immediately despised and was forced to stick with.
In no time, Hase and Jonouchi betrayed Kaito of Team Baron, only for Hase to lose his Sengoku Driver during the special Christmas game and eventually disappear completely. An eccentric but dangerous ex-military man named Oren began to train him in the ways of manhood.
Flashforward some years later, when the war between the riders of the world and Shin-Shocker took center stage. Oren was no longer with him so it was finally time for Jonouchi to step up and prove himself. He joined the URSA, quickly rising through the ranks and until he was leading his very own squad (ironically made up of Kurokage Troopers).
He earned the nickname the "Battle Hardened Dandy" for his many victories and became quite the legend. During the war's final days, he watched his entire unit get slaughtered and decided he just couldn't take anymore. He abandoned the URSA and began to wander around the war-torn globe.
