"It's a history of the Nathair family. It was way deep in the library, but I pulled it out." Kivat said. "It's not much, but I figured you'd be interested."

"You figured right." Rene replied with a sense of urgency. "Where is this book? Is it still in the library?"

"Wait here." Kivat flew off into the bowels of the library. He returned about ten minutes later, clearly weighed down by the large book he was holding. He was flying quite low and slow with the bulk of it.

"Wow." Rene mused. That was quite the heavy-looking book. One could say that the name of Nathair...carried a lot of weight.
"Thanks, Kivat." The Fangire took the book from the mini bat and opened it at the first page.

You wouldn't be saying that in my shoes. Rene thought as he scanned the book. So far, all he had found was a family tree. He smiled as he saw his mother's name in the lower branches.

Kivat read along with him. "Check towards the back. The history ends when the Nathair line is assimilated into the Order. There might be something regarding your mother."

"There might." Rene took the bat up on his suggestion, and flicked towards the back.
"Let's see..yeah, here's something. 'Maeve disappeared one day before the Order moved to assimilate Nathair, taking the secrets of her line with her.'"
