One of the planets the Zangyack overtook was working on converting elemental energy into cards for the sake of weapons. They proved useless against a planet-wide invasion, and the man behind them fled, crash landing on Earth. He wants to give this power to warriors on Earth in order to help fight back, and to keep the Earth from becoming the same as his planet if the Zangyack have their way.
They fight the Zangyack themselves, and a group of other aliens that come to Earth via handheld DS/Game Boy-like devices. They convince people to make pacts and summon them, and then rampage.
