The Zanvat Sword was a powerful weapon forged by the Fangire King, who discarded it in the 1980's. Wataru Kurenai managed to retrieve it in 2008 and use it to become Emperor Kiva during battle, wielding the great power of the Fangire King before him.
The sword remained with Wataru for a long time, being one of his primary weapons. During the war he lost it when he fought in Africa, and the sword found itself buried in the ground. It was found again, but nobody could pull it free. Excavation proved to be impossible, and it remained buried and trapped in the ground.
It has become something of a shrine that the people in the area visit, mystified by it. Presumably the blade awaits the next Fangire King, or the next Kiva, to pull it free.
