Jon recoils, his leg stinging a little, but not nearly enough to put an end to this fight.
"Hmm, seems like I should finally get serious," he said as he stretched out a bit.
DURIAN SQUASH
He charged a single blade before tossing it at Natsumi. Then while she was distracted, he did a quick baseball dive to get around her and then struck from the back.

As he speaks of getting serious, she quietly switches the Aegis to her left hand. Then, with green energy flowing into the Aegis, she acts quickly, slamming the blade aside and then doing a spinning pivot, drawing her sword mid-pivot and dramatically catching his strike with her own blade, her shield held out to the side in dramatic flair. "I guess I'm getting serious too, old man."

Jon was frowning underneath his helmet.
"You're not even going to let me get a good hit in are you?"
He then dived for his discarded sword, clutching it firmly in his hand before jumping up and going for a dual strike to the left shoulder.

Natsumi didn't reply, instead being caught off-guard by that dual strike and having it hit, sending her rolling across the ground. "Kisama..." she breathed out, slashing the Melon twice while on her back.
"Melon, Au Lait."
In a move of her own invention, one that Takatora had not used, the Aegis glows with energy, before she gives a battle cry and shoots the fast energy beam forward to hit and pierce through any holes in his guard.

It had been a while since Natsumi had left, so Andrea looked outside to see if she was on her way back...
Only to have a fight going on right outside HQ.
"Great... if she got herself in trouble again..." she sighed before rushing downstairs, already preparing her transformation.

Before the blast could hit, Jon hit down on the Driver's knife two times.
DURIAN AU LAIT
Both blades were charged before Jon sent forth a wave of energy, colliding with Natsumi's blast, creating a powerful shockwave that send them both flying.

The blast sent her flying through a nearby concrete wall, leaving her on her back as the dust from the shattering of concrete made its presence known.

Jon had been blasted into a nearby car. He felt like shit and when he attempted to get up, he found his armor's spikes had lodged themselves into the steel and weren't budging..

Natsumi hurt, underneath the armor. Feeling like crap herself, she cocked the Musou Saber back. With a few sweeping shots, she could probably hit Jonouchi, taking out the car he was stuck to in the process. But Andrea calling her name reminded her of something. So he's an inheritor also. came the flashback.
Stabbing her Saber into the floor, she uses it to help get to her feet, coming staggering out of the wall she'd been put through. Approaching the deserter, she puts the blunt side of her blade to his throat. "I could have fired from my position and blown this car up, overloading your armor's system and transferring the damage to your physical form. But you're an inheritor. Like I am. Like Andrea is. The will of those that came before. My father, Oren-san, and Kouta-san."
She pauses for a moment, before lowering her blade, sheathing it and flipping up the lockseed, returning to human form. An expression of trust, but Andrea was there in case that went the wrong way. "I said I was going to ask you with sword and shield why you deserted...but I'm asking as a woman and inheritor instead. Why did you leave us? Did we do something that I'm not aware of? You're a member of old Zawame, the people I look up to and study. But I could never understand why."

Jon flipped up his own Lockseed, canceling the transforming and freeing himself, at least for the time being.
He sighed and looked Natsumi in the eyes, "I've spent a great deal of my life fighting and it's most likely what i'll do until my body just gives in and I die. I've met many people and have lost just as many. Great friends, a mentor, passionate romances.. During the war, I just.. couldn't handle it anymore. It was cowardly of me and I regret it every day, but I left and there's no changing that fact. It was not something that URSA did, not in the slightest, it was my own weakness in the face of death. But even after leaving, I have never stopped fighting, fighting to change this planet's fate."

Andrea looked at him, undoing her own transformation. "Jonouchi-san," she said, smiling. "I think you're just as worthy of being called an inheritor as us, despite everything."

Natsumi's eyes softened as he told his story. "You've been through a lot." she said softly, nodding. "But Andrea is right. You're worthy of that title. I want to tell you that you've done enough, but I'm afraid that isn't the case. Do you remember, the downfall of my father because the people he worked with stabbed him in the back? I'm following in those footsteps now. But I want to learn from his mistakes. I need people that I can trust. You may turn me down of course, and we'll continue these little dances, but.." she takes a deep breath, shifting into a formal tone.
"Hideyasu Jonouchi. I am prepared to pursue a full pardon for your crime of desertion, and reinstatement into URSA as a member of my personal guard. Since you're also a Rider, you would go on specialized missions, leading small groups of highly trained individuals. I don't expect you to tow the URSA line, but having your wisdom and experience actively present would only benefit the team. With that in mind, I ask you. Do you feel that you're someone I can trust? You may take your time in thinking about it..but don't wait too long."
