About twenty minutes he returned silently and walked up behind her. He shifted his arms forward to put a small, fluffy white face beside her head. The kitten let out a soft sound.

"Ah.." She exhaled in quiet surprise, turning to stare eye to eye with the cute white kitten. "Nick..you didn't have to.." she gave, in a more subdued fashion, a smile crossing her features.

She looks up at him from her chair. "Insightful. And perceptive." The kitten is given a fond look, and she smiles. "I did not account for you in my plans, little one, but the lab could always use a mascot. I will ensure you are well cared for." A grateful look is given to Nick as well.

He gestured to the kitten, "I took to calling her Commodore Fluffypaws, if that helps you at all," he told her with a smile.

Kate giggled a bit at that. "That's silly..but it fits you." she pats the kitten's fluffy paws and smiles. "Alright. Seems I need to go shopping for a number of things..."
