Kai's ax was doing some clear damage, but it didn't seem to be enough to take them down.
A sphere zipped past them before being pierced by a blade from the inside before a blast of icy power was released from it, causing the sphere to loose all control and plummet to the Earth.
Hana then used her to staff to pry herself out.

Malcolm slashed at the incoming pods, aiming to cut through the devices so that they didn't claim him.

Hana fought her way through the field until she reached a man in crimson fighting them off with his sword.
"I've figured it out!" she shouted to him, "First a blunt strike or slash to open up the sphere and then a blast to finish it off from the inside!"
The guy wasn't a Magi she could tell right away, but that didn't mean they couldn't help each other out this one time.

Malcolm regarded the woman in whtie skeptically for a moment, but he wasn't going to complain. So his first action was to make a big swing to try and slash through the closest pod.

The cut was successful and an opening in the sphere was visible. Hana then lifted her staff above the man's head and fired into the sphere, causing it crash into the side of a building, defeated.
"See?"

Malcolm quickly stabbed the other two in spots away frmo the pod, then proceeded to pry the covers off and evacuate anyone in them.
