The sun had risen above the castle compound and as usual Ashia was the first one up and about. She traveled to the lavish kitchen and began to prepare the morning meal.
She wasn't the normal chef, but it became sort of a tradition for her to cook for the newbies.. She cooked a standard breakfast of sausage and eggs, topping both with her - special- ingredient.

"So this is a push up?" Josephine asked as she followed Paula's training regime, it would probably be different after they underwent their first day of training, but at least she was now pumped up rather than sleepy.
"Yep standard military training," Paula said doing the exercise with ease, "though don't know what kind of training that they have in store for us. But it's best to be ready."
"Oui I know," Josephine said as they finished their exercise, "let's get to the dining hall, breakfast should be ready by now," as the two of them headed towards the dining hall.

The table was fully set, but none of the others were in sight.

"Should we wait?" Paula asked.
"That would be ideal, it would be rude to start eating without the others," as they simply sat down and waited for the others to arrive.

Minutes past and no one else had arrived. The food continued to sit there, its aroma surely ensnaring the two hungry women.

"They sure are taking their time," Josephine said her stomach grumbling as Paula nodded, "maybe...maybe it's okay to take just a bite," as her hand reached out to the food as Paula slapped it.
"Hold on, this could be a test," Paula said, "we are supposed to be assassins after all," as she took a piece of bacon and seeing a dog that the Hanas kept, among other things, she whistled to it before throwing the bacon as the dog happily devoured it.

[I'd see us more having cats]
The dog happily ate the bacon and once it was done ran off into the other room, seemingly fine.

"Hmm...I guess it's fine then," Paula said as Josephine grabbed a sausage and began eating it as did Paula.

"Good morning," said Ashia appearing behind them, "I see you are both partaking of my sausage. I hope you enjoy, I put a little something special into it."

The two of them nearly chocked when Aisha appeared from behind them surprised that she was able to sneak up on them though it could be said that they had no training in detecting anyone as Paula looked at her, "What did you put inside?" she asked.

She titled her head, "Only cinnamon of course. To liven it up."
She walked over and took her seat at the foot of the table.
"Oh and some paralyzing toxin. It should completely take affect.. any second now."

Both of them dropped to the floor as the toxin took effect in their bodies.

"The bacon though," she said taking a bite, "Is completely fine. Don't worry, you can still see and hear, but i'm afraid you won't be able to speak a word until it wears off."
The dog came back in and began to lick Paula's face.
Ashia titled her head, "I don't remember us having a dog.. Someone must have left the door open and let him inside."

The two of them were as still as statues, unable to move or speak, as they wondered if this was a test and if they had just failed it.

"I'll have to have a word with the girls later," Ashia said, "I've told them already we're a ninja clan, not an animal shelter."
She stood up, walked over, and took a seat on Paula's stomach.
"Cats, though, are completely fine. We have dozens of them running around."
She took a glass of milk off the table and splashed into Josephine's face.
"Antidote in the milk. You'll have full movement again in a few minutes."
