Shinji could only quietly wait for Iris to return as he hated not being stronger, he could easily use his true form, but he was afraid of what Iris would think if she knew about it. Oh sure she knew that he wasn't exactly human, but being the Overlord that commanded a group of brutal cultists? He wasn't sure what she would think as he made sure to stay out of her way, but at the same time be close enough to help her if the situation warranted it.

"They can live," Simon said, "I've seen enough bloodshed here today. Just know that your country is mine, and will remain mine. But soon the world will be mine as well." He paused, "Also, when it's mine, you can rule France as my envoy." He held his hand out, "You must only join me, Iris Trochu. Your people live, and France is yours."
Iris looked at his hand, and then reached out to take it, clasping hands with him.
"Then I will join Shocker."

Shinji was surprised to say the least...why would Iris be shaking hands with the Great Leader of Shocker unless...it was to join him. Part of him felt betrayed, but another part of him told him to stay down until he could talk with Iris and see what her plan is. There was no way that she would willingly join Shocker, not when her country was in flames.

She pulled on his arm and came in closer, pulling a knife from her waistband. It didn't come up at all before he had twisted her arm behind her back, dropping her to the ground, screaming.
"I commend your idea. I would not have thought someone like you would do that. Someone else, a soldier, yes. You? No," Simon told her, keeping pressure on her arm, "I don't like being played like that. Our deal is off. I can never trust you again. Those I cannot trust are useless."
He plunged his hand through her back. She let out a soundless cry and slumped to the ground as he tore her heart out, casting it aside as he shook the blood from his hand.

"NO!" Shinji roared as he turned into Dark Agito and sprinted towards Simon before drawing his twin swords and swinging it at him.

Simon snapped his fingers, shifting into Sigmund. He threw a punch towards the blades, intent on stopping them with minimal force. He was angry, that was understandable. Anger made you foolish and wild. Simon always kept a cool head, so he should be fine, no matter how powerful his foe may be.
