Slash. Cut. Parry. The blade was wrenched from her hand's and sent flying. Something heavy struck her in the chest as she tried to teleport, stopping her. She tried to breathe fire, but was struck in the throat and sent to the ground.
Before the monster could impale her, the Bird Warrior unleashed a storm of feather blades, tearing through the monster. The sword came down and tore through one of her wings. She let out a scream as the monster fell to the ground. The Bird Warrior rose and stumbled around for a bit until it reverted to Katsu, clutching her arm.
She stumbled and fell at the side of the road and rolled into the ditch.

Emi was walking along the side of the road moments later, just as the rain started to fall. The girl looked up at the sky and sighed before taking out her umbrella to cover herself from the drops. As she turned to to look around, she saw someone lying in a ditch. Without hesitation, she quickly ran over to the girl, kneeling down next to her and shaking her.
"H-Hey...! Are you all right?"

She groaned and lay there for now, holding her right arm in her left hand. She may not have the appendage anymore, but the pain transferred somewhere as close as it could go. Katsu turned her head a little, but wasn't able to answer her.

Emi put the umbrella down and tried to help the girl up, shifting her weight to better accommodate Katsu's own so they can move unimpeded.

She groaned as she was helped up, "Thank you...," she said weakly.

"Don't speak..." she said. "Save your energy until we get to my place."

She tried to shift her weight a little to keep her right arm more stable. She just nodded.

Emi reached down for her umbrella and used it to shelter Katsu from the rain. She was already injured; she didn't need to add a cold to that, too.

She remained silent for a few seconds before speaking again, "T...thank you..."

"Don't thank me just yet..." she said with a small smile as she kept walking with Katsu.

After a little bit, a thought crept into Katsu's mind. What if the Bird Warrior awoke again, angry, in pain? It wouldn't be good for this girl...

Eventually, Emi arrived at her place and opened the door, bringing Katsu inside with her.

Katsu moved inside with her, but groaned, "I...I can't be here..."

"Well I don't know where else to take you..." she said, frowning.

She moved away from Emi, "No...I...I should be alone...," she groaned, "It's not safe..."
