Ranger World: Species Name: "Blood-Borne" Appearance: Normal humans, nothing different Abilities: Enhanced speed, strength, senses, healing factor. Immortality, so long as they abide by the magical laws binding them (although they can still be killed, see below). Other Information: In the 12th century AD in Europe, a noble family was selected for a magical/alchemic experiment. Using dark blood magic, five siblings were bound magically, granted superior bodily abilities, and immortality, so long as they continued to partake blood and offer sacrifices from time to time. These siblings never aged again. They were stuck in their current state, but more than they had ever been before. They would move around, come together, grow apart as they lived their long lives, none of them desiring to give up their immortality. The family came into possession of five suits of magical armor. Each had its own powers, limitations, and abilities, and each sibling took one up (or two siblings to one armor, in one case). Their bodies weaken without blood, and when a sacrifice has gone overdue. They can be killed by beheading, by having their heart or brain destroyed. They can also be slain by the ashes of a certain type of tree (records destroyed) after coating it on any sort of weapon and piercing the body.

Species Name: Entomian
Appearance:
Adult Entomians resemble humanoid grasshoppers, with most of the population exhibiting a deep green coloration on their carapace-like skin. However, variations of this color exist, from hues ranging from deep blues to bright yellows. Young Entomians are also humanoid in appearance, although they all exhibit immature versions of Entomian appendages, such as almost non-existent antennae, frail and short arms, and little-to-no carapace covering, instead displaying a soft, moist skin texture akin to pupae or larvae. All infantile Entomians, on the other hand, resemble small, faceless larvae.
Entomians are classified into three different subcategories, namely, Entomian Workers, Entomian Soldiers, and Entomian Queens. Of the ten billion or so Entomians that once lived on Hive-01, around 80% of the populace are Workers, ~20% are Soldiers, and the remaining fraction of a fraction of a percentage compose the Queens. Workers, Soldiers and Queens show significant differences in body structure, with Workers displaying the "normal" carapace amount and thickness, while Soldiers exhibit unusually thicker "armored skin" and denser musculature. Queens, on the other hand, show the greatest variation among the three, being exclusively female, and possessing a very long, bulbous, and wide abdomen that serves as the house for the eggs that they will produce.
Entomians are bigendered, but only a handful of female Entomians are ever fertile at any given age or time period. There is a significant disparity of the sexes when it comes to population, as only 10% of the population are female. Entomians are oviparous, yet have no concept of parenthood. Parenthood, to them, is a shared experience where every child belongs to the community.
Abilities: Entomians display enhanced senses over humans, with the ability to see in the dark and a very, very weak "spidey sense". Workers are physically stronger than humans, due to their genetic past as the literal builders of the old Entomian kingdoms. Soldiers are even stronger, and their enhanced senses expand to the ability to see things in slow motion, as well as a stronger "spidey sense".
Entomians are also connected together through a Hive Mind. All workers follow a Directive mandated by the council of Entomian Queens, which usually amount to advancing infrastructure, economy, health, and other non-military concerns. Soldiers, during peacetime, often serve as the Queen's guard, or as head workers, but during wartime they act as highly effective infantry troops. They make "Zerg rushes" a reality.
Other Information:
Having an entire population run by a hive mind mandated by a handful of leaders isn't perfect, however. Entomians, despite their insect ancestors, can show and act upon free will. It is not uncommon for wars to be waged on Hive-01 over differences in ideology, however, what IS rare (in fact, it's never happened before), is an ideological or philosophical difference or quarrel between the Entomian Queens.

Yes, they are aliens. They live on the planet Hive-01. It's in a different star system.

Species Name: Beyonds Appearance: Normal humans Abilities: Beyonds hold various powers, including telepathy, teleport, telekinesis, and in some cases pyrokinesis, terrakinesis, etc. The primary three are telepathy, teleport and telekinesis, however. Other Information: Beyonds were created as part of a genetic experiment years ago. The purpose was to try to find a cure for various genetic abnormalities and other problems. Instead of curing genetic problems, it caused the birth of genetic powers. The head scientist of the project quickly executed the test subjects before they could go out of control.
Doctor Grayson Hastings began to experiment more, including on himself. He gained the powers and came to control them. He would use his medical practice to slowly give the powers to children and to others as part of an experiment on a new strain of it. He only had the three initial powers, but perhaps he could change it and give more powers. He wanted to test on others first before trying to make himself stronger.
This worked. Most survived and gained more powers. Some became exiled, some remained loved. Hastings began to bring them back to him with his superior control over the powers, coming to them in their dreams, infecting their minds. They became his agents, capable of doing anything. Assassins, spies, etc.
A group opposed Hastings and his projects, and are trying to band together to stop their kind and defeat Hastings, but are weaker. However, with the power of some Morphers, things might change.

Species Name: OverLord Inves (Femushinmu) (Species Locked) Appearance: Varies Abilities: The Warrior Caste of the Femushinmu are the strongest in their history, and, until now, the most foolish. They possess the ability to open Cracks, manipulate the forest freely, and utilize basic offensive magic. They may also take a human form. The old King, Roshuo, and the overlord Demushu were a part of this caste.
The Arcane Caste of the Femushinmu seek higher knowledge, and some during the Helheim incident engaged in evil rituals that tampered with forbidden things. Their powers are similar to the Warriors, but are more advanced in their offensive spells. Of note among this caste is Redyue.
The Healing Caste of the Femushinmu are rare. They have potent magical ability, unfettered by the Arcane Caste's adherence to destruction. They instead create and build up. The last of the Healing Caste, known by her title of the Priestess of Fate, married the former Overlord King, and together they had two children. One ended up becoming a Warrior on his own, and the other followed in her mother's footsteps and swore first to heal, and second to defend. She is the last member of the Arcane Caste, and second last of the Healing Caste, having been something of a prodigy. Other Information: No one knows where the Femushinmu came from or how they came to be in the Forest of Helheim..but they were there. At the time of the Helheim incident, the Forest had chosen a King over the world it had conquered, and he had modified his subjects to survive the invasion. Erroneously, he believed that the strong surviving would be enough, and it led to the near destruction of his entire race. The strong destroyed the weak, and committed grave mistakes. The humans were headed down the same road, and during the incident that finally resolved the Helheim crisis that had taken over Zawame City, the old King was defeated, and his wife went missing for a long time. Helheim activity dwindled to the Last Crack, and things went silent for a while.
Now, approximately 30 years later, things have begun to heat up again. War looms in the human world, the product only fueled by the Convergence of Two. The thought-to-be sole surviving member of the race has reappeared, but was captured by interlopers and forced to become evil. And deep inside Helheim, the Femushinmu race is rekindled but by a spark. Reviving the forest under their command, but being mindful of the mistakes of the past. The gift of the Helheim fruit was both a blessing and a curse to humanity. And they have determined that the humans do not need this fruit. That they are too greedy and would retrace the steps that lead to a repeat of the past. So while Helheim is reactivated...the fruit only reacts to the new Overlords. And these final two hunt the ones who affronted the Priestess, who they have been separated from for nearly 30 years..
