History
She's a post-war child, so she was never directly exposed to the horrors of war, but it always haunted her how gaunt those she came to care for looked. Her childhood was as normal as one could be, and though she liked her singing and dancing, her parents pressed her into learning something that would be "useful." It was because of this that she became nervous when trying new things. Thus she learned a lot of stuff that no young girl should have to learn, or so some people thought.
By the time she arrives in high school, she knows enough to treat small-time things and diagnose a lot of things. In addition to going to Amanogawa High, she auditioned for, and joined, her singing group, where she modeled, danced and sung to her heart's content, taking heart from the hope that they brought those who were brave enough to come to concerts and handshakes...a lot of people weren't so brave..because of the kaijin.
In time she became the ace of her team, furthering her medical studies on her own time, with school as well. Unfortunately this didn't leave her much time to do much of anything else, but it was fine because she was doing what she enjoyed.
Right now, it's summer break. And she's heard tell of some of the world events. This makes her sad, but her group comes up with an idea. Send some of their members to other parts of the world to try and perform in those places too. Since they didn't calculate for a lot of people coming, they could get away with sending one or two to other places.
They'd chosen for other people, but not for her. So she'd gone wandering with nothing else to do, and ended up in front of the URSA building....
