Time of Knights [Open]

[Karasu Oshima]

Karasu kicked off a building and came down, slashing the man's leg open.  The wound didn't stop him, since he wasn't a man.  The Horror didn't really care about the man's body.  The leg blew out, being replaced by the dark, slimy Horror limb instead.  The man screamed in rage as his body began to crack and shatter to reveal more Horror limbs.

His face was half man, half Horror, split cracked down the center.

"Not showing your true form yet?" Karasu questioned as he flipped his blades in hand.  He ran forward and swung once, but the Horror blocked the blade away.  He plunged the other one forward, right into the Horror's gut.  Then the monster grinned.  The blade was stuck.

The Horror drew a clawed hand back, but Karasu leapt back, releasing his weapon.  It remained stuck in the Horror's chest, leaving Karasu with a single weapon.

[Aldrich Beringer]

"Found you." Aldrich walked in behind the Horror, his hammer resting on one shoulder. "Just one? I thought Horrors ran in packs over here." A wide, toothy grin spread across his face. He saw the other Knight, and the Knight's blade stuck in the Horror. That was one reason Aldrich preferred a bashing weapon; no chance of getting stuck in an enemy like that. Cutting weapons like that were all the rage in the Makai community though, so he was in no position to criticize tradition.

[Karasu Oshima]

Karasu looked at the larger man, "That's the aura of a Makai," he muttered. He flipped his blade around and leapt at the Horror, cutting it across the leg and sliding across the ground over to the other man, lifting his blade up as he came to his feet, "I have this handled," he said.

[Aldrich Beringer]

"Clearly not, because you're down a weapon." Aldrich shot back. He could feel the adrenaline beginning to surge into his arms, making his hammer weigh like nothing. "Besides, I've been needing a workout." He charged at the Horror, roaring like a man possessed.

[Karasu Oshima]

The Horror ran at the new Knight and leapt for him, his hand ripping apart into a large claw. He swung for the man's midsection while screeching.

[Aldrich Beringer]

Aldrich screamed again and put all of his strength into a swing for the beast's chest, aiming to catch it on his hammer head and slam it into the floor to finish it.

[Karasu Oshima]

The Horror was struck by the weapon and slammed down, crushed beneath the weight. A sickly red light shone out as the human body exploded away, leaving only the Horror, blade still stuck in it.

[Aldrich Beringer]

Aldrich's eye twitched. It wasn't dead. Why was it not dead. WHY WAS IT NOT DEAD.
"GRAAAAAAH!" Aldrich roared into the night, raising his hammer again to finish it. His eyes had gone bloodshot.

[Karasu Oshima]

The Horror slipped out, its body rising up like some sort of segmented insect, small spindly arms appearing from its midsection.

[Aldrich Beringer]

Aldrich barely noticed the change in form, his vision going red. He spun, aiming to slam his hammer into the beast.

[Karasu Oshima]

The beast simply bent the elongated midsection away from the oncoming blow.

Karasu ran in, intent on getting his weapon back.

[Aldrich Beringer]

"STAND... STILL!!" Aldrich roared, punctuating each word with another swing. He was focused solely on the Horror.

[Karasu Oshima]

It bent its body around, wrapping itself around the hammer after the next swing.

[Aldrich Beringer]

"OFF THE HAMMER!" Aldrich began swinging the hammer wildly to get it off his weapon.

[Karasu Oshima]

Karasu ran and jumped off of the other Knight's back, slashing the monster down the back as he dropped.

"This is why a cutting weapon works!" he shouted.
