Apprehension and Trial [IRIS]

[Iris Trochu]

Iris looked at the faces present, then moved to the seat she was requested to sit in. She sat there, feeling confident, not feeling as though she was in any real danger.

[Natsumi Kureshima]

Natsumi plays the clip again, for the record, and then speaks further. "Miss Trochu. We know the identity of the man was Ravinn Wolf..and he was your bodyguard. Tell us what you know of him. How did you meet him, how long did he serve you, and were there any signs that he might be capable of doing something like this?"

[Iris Trochu]

"I knew little about him. My father knew more. He came into our service a number of years ago, and acted as a special forces member for a military, which one I don't recall, however. I never had any indication of anything like this. He also helped save my life during my rescue attempt."

[Natsumi Kureshima]

"I see. And, for the record, he acted on his own without any instruction or order from you?" Natsumi gave, obviously knowing the answer, but it had to be asked. She would observe Iris closely, to see if there were any signs she was lying.

[Iris Trochu]

"I never gave any such order," she stated, "I was at home, dealing with affairs of my country, and my plans to try to save it. He went out on his own."

[Natsumi Kureshima]

"I see. So that's how it went." She muses a bit. "The rest of the man's things seem baseless at best. Last Raven has given us no reason to distrust them so far, and it is known regarding their help when we needed it." She stands. "Excuse me for a moment."

Heading over to Takatora, she sits down next to her father, whispering in a low tone. "Father. She's not connected to this at all, and I don't believe it to be treason that she went and got gear from Last Raven, in addition to "recruiting" one of our people. I conclude that she's not involved in what happened, so she goes free, and perhaps we can legitimize this individual's going with her by assigning him to represent us in France, should he choose to accept it. Your thoughts, father?" It would be politically inexpedient to use Iris as a scape-goat, when there was a bigger picture here.

[Iris Trochu]

"We have an alliance with Last Raven," he stated, "I can understand her bond with the man who saved her, and her making him an ally like this. If we assign him a duty to assist her, then things are ok. This is a stressful time, and I understand what she's going through. I see no guilt here, and no reasons to question this further."

[Natsumi Kureshima]

"Then I will deliver your words." She bows her head in respect to him and returns to the podium.

"After a review of the facts, this inquiry clears the name of Iris Trochu of any involvement in the incident where Ravinn Wolf betrayed her and killed a number of Zectroopers before being driven off by one of our Riders. We sympathize with your plight, Miss Trochu, and see no reason to question you further about your gear, or proactivity. While it is true that URSA does not have the resources at present to fully assist you, our thoughts go with you, and we hereby assign the man you recruited the task of aiding you. It's been a stressful time, for all of us. But I'm certain that we can work through it." She finishes her statement, and looks at Iris.

[Iris Trochu]

Iris rose, "I thank you, then." She looked at them and gave them a nod, "Thank you, all of you." She turned to exit the room, then paused, "I would like to ask for volunteers to assist me, however, if you would allow it."

[Natsumi Kureshima]

Natsumi raises a little bit of an eyebrow at this, and then casts a questioning look back at her father.

[Iris Trochu]

Takatora nodded, "You may do so."

Iris nodded, "I thank you," she told him before departing.

[Natsumi Kureshima]

She nods to Iris as well. Having been unprepared for that question, she was thankful that her father had her back.
