Day of Battle [Iris's Army]

[Simon]

The French woman's army had finally reached Paris.  Simon smiled a little.  "Oh, this will be fun."  There was one reason he allowed this without much resistance.  He wanted her to be home, he wanted her to have everything she wanted to fight for.

Then he would crush her.

"I think we're smaller," he muttered, looking at the camp of monsters at his back, "Oh well, we have me.  That's what matters."

Iris stopped walking and looked around.  Home.  They had been in France for some time, but now?  Now they were finally in Bourges.  This was the seat of power, it made sense the enemy was here.

[Shinji Yakamura]

They were finally here at the seat of power, the one place where everything was governed from. Bourges. As Shinji looked around to see if there were any signs of an occupied city, they had come a long way from where they started and Shinji had been with them until the end. His Lords had worked tirelessly in softening up the defences of the enemy and he thanked them for their services, but right now it would be best if they didn't involve themselves with the battle anymore. He couldn't risk them being killed in the battle and he hated if any of them got hurt or killed because of him as he looked at Iris, "How do you feel?" he asked her.

[Iris Trochu]

Iris sighed, "I'm relieved we've made it this far," she told Shinji, "On the other hand, I'm scared. We haven't met much resistance yet, but we know there's more here. I'm worried about what we're about to walk into."

[Shinji Yakamura]

Shinji put a reassuring hand on her shoulder, "It will be alright, we've made it this far and even though we didn't meet with much resistance we'll breath them no matter what they throw at us," he told her, "trust in yourself and trust in your men."

[Iris Trochu]

She nodded, "It's hard to hold too much faith in myself. I may have gotten us this far, but I'm not a fighter."

[Shinji Yakamura]

"But you are a leader and a leader is just as good, if not better, than a fighter," he said.

[Iris Trochu]

"I'm a leader by circumstance more than anything," she said, "Far from qualified."

[Shinji Yakamura]

"You're still a leader and because you are a leader people look up to you. You've led them through to here and that makes you just as qualified as any leader."

[Iris Trochu]

"I don't know strategy or combat or anything like that. I doubt it."

[Shinji Yakamura]

"Well that's what I'm here for, to make sure that the combat part goes smoothly," he said.

[Iris Trochu]

"I hope it's enough," she told him.

[Shinji Yakamura]

"So do I," Shinji said.

[Iris Trochu]

She started to walk again, "I sent scouts out a while ago. None have reported yet."

[Seto Arai]

"Chances are they're either captured or dead." Seto replied, walking up to them. He had been taking break after his previous kaijin encounter along with Suzuki.

[Suzuki Riho]

Riho followed behind him, having left the Sengoku Driver on her waist. Unaware that Seto had found something on the way there that would make a difference in her young life. She bows her head in greeting, remaining silent otherwise.
