Ok, so last time didn't work. It was another Tokkyuger he'd encountered, and far from the one he wanted. Maybe this time it would work as he summoned Kuro's to run around. Granted, he didn't order them to do anything, just to be there. Hell, he'd destroy them himself soon enough.

"Be gone." Now that Annabelle had little to no reservations with using her Shadow power, life was a breeze. Kuros were no longer a threat, as they left on her command. She still made an effort not to use her Shadow form and powers in full, which wasn't a problem for the most part. Her mask suppressed her powers, as most of them sprouted from her cape. But why were there Kuros here? Usually, Kuros were accompanied by a Kaijin, but she could sense nothing of the sort. And they weren't doing anything either.

As Ian waited around, he saw that his Kuro's were vanishing. Finally! The ones that were yet to go started to vanish on Ian's command. There, now he just had to wait a minute or two...

Annabelle picked at the edge of her mask. Something wasn't right here. Now other Kuros were vanishing, without her order. Someone was there, and whoever it was, it had control of Shadow Line forces. There's no way it can be friendly.

There, gone. Now to see what she'd do.

"I know you're there. You've made your point, now show yourself." Annabelle honestly considered taking the mask off right then and there, simply using her overwhelming power to subdue whoever was doing this. It was obviously a threat of some kind, with ties to the Shadow.

Ian walked out, clapping a little, "That was really good. I didn't know you could do that to the Kuros."

"Identify yourself." Annabelle assumed a defensive position. A human form. Not entirely unheard of, but still interesting. He had some level of power, certainly.

He held his arms to the side in a non-threatening way. He turned his wrist a little to show his Morpher, "I'm Ian Clarke. And...I'm kind of in the employ of the Shadow Line."

"Define "in the employ of the Shadow Line". For as long as I've known, the Line doesn't employ humans." She'd known for a long time. And why did he have a Morpher? The Shadow Line didn't make Morphers.

"I was saved when I was young, and showed no fear of them. I suspect they set up the accident or something. I don't know why, but they took me in. I was raised under them and on my own, in the human world. But," he gestured to his Morpher, "I'm clearly not one hundred percent with them."

Annabelle was deeply skeptical. Of COURSE he wasn't "100% with them". It was detrimental to him; he was aiding the extinction of his own species. He had nothing to gain from helping them. He wanted something. From the look in his eyes, it looked like he wanted her. She began rubbing the side of her neck, working up the edge of the mask. The Line obviously had withheld some information from him, and it was about to bite him in the ass.

"Look. I've already met another of your teammates," he told her, "I fight for beauty. There is beauty in shadows, but it's lost if the shadows take over. Likewise, there is beauty in light, but the loss of shadows removes that beauty. I'm striving for balance, but for the safety of humanity. I get the gist of who you are, and I feel like you're the one I should talk to."

He did want her. She didn't want to know what exactly he wanted, but she didn't want to know. She was getting a bit of a "Silence of the Lambs" vibe. She's kept a grip on the edge of her mask as surreptitiously as she could, making it look like she was simply rubbing her neck, while keeping her eyes on him.

"You're of the Shadow Line as well, and you're with the Rainbow Line. You're the one who can help me find my way to the team. You're the one who can hopefully help convince them to let me fight with them. I want to actively help, not just sit here and watch."
