"Each world has a chief called a DekaMaster that runs that planet's organization. Then there is a rank between that and myself that you can attain if you have more experience that doesn't really have a formal name but we tend to call them White Shields, and then there's us, and below us are the beat cops."

"DekaMaster is at the base the moment. And we don't have many detectives, so we all do a little of everything but we tend to do whatever it was we were doing beforehand - so I do a lot of bank robberies and kidnappings."
