Overview: Nereid is just your typical mad scientist with the lofty goal of creating a Changling army in order to take over the world or something like that. She's flexible. She considers the other Changlings to be both her comrades in arms and her future test subjects. She has no interest in human beings, but treats her WEAVER underlings fair enough. Happy underlings are productive underlings.

Nereid didn't know her father..nor her mother. She was adopted and raised by the scientists of the WEAVER Institute since she was a baby. There was a test or two here and there, but they generally treated her well. The scientists she considered her parents had quite the pull in the Institute and she was given the best education they had to offer.
She grew up highly interested in her own kind, believing only she could truly understand them. She went to an Ivy school in America and graduated with her Doctorate in Genetic Engineering as the youngest graduate in history. She then began her work with the Institute.
Having your parents constantly telling you're special all your life really went to her head and now she thinks extremely high of herself. She's come to believe the genetic code of the Changling can be unlocked and a glorious future for their kind can usher forth.
