Jean inclined his head, walking up to the counter and ordering. Since the tab was on her, he got the largest size. Might as well take advantage of the situation.

"She abandoned you when she caused trouble. I'd say she's not the greatest of friends." Jean got his coffee and walked to where the sugar was, beginning to mix some in.

"One instance tends to be a pretty decent judge of character. There's no real reason to believe they'll change, or that they acted differently in one instance barring extenuating circumstances. Unless she had some prior engagement, I can't think of any reason for her to abandon you to clean up her mess than her being a person of rather less than stellar quality."

"Well, this was fun. Thank you for the coffee. Maybe we could do this again." Jean said, tipping it at her and leaving without waiting for a response. He didn't much care, anyway. If she wanted to talk to him again, which he doubted she did, she'd have to find him first.
