Cristina was out with a small contingent of ZECTroopers and a single Kurokage Trooper. The latter were more valuable with their superior armor, but also valuable, so she only brought one. It was required, since she was one of their best scientists, they needed her to be protected if Cristina was insisting on entering the field herself.
The Forest of Disc Animals wasn't the intended target. Not really. There was nothing of interest in the destroyed disc animals, the interest was in the remaining Makamou corpses. They were too cumbersome to move years ago, but they still existed. Cristina wanted to gather some data and see if there was a way to re-purpose their bodies into weapons or ammo. If parts still remained, surely they'd make good ammunition of some sort.
She didn't tell her soldiers anything, she remained silent.

Seto followed the scientist while staying close to the ZECTroopers, as he observed his surroundings. The forest was awfully colorful probably because of the broken fragments that laid almost everywhere.
There were certainly no Kaijin around and Seto did not really see why he was needed, considering the fact the ZECTroopers were all armed with heavy-ass guns while he held a lousy stick with a blade attached to it. Nonetheless, he did not voice his complaint and continued walking.

Cristina slowed down and looked around, "Ok," she said, looking back at the troopers, "The remains of a corpse are just up ahead. I intend to harvest the shell and convert it to ammunition at a later date. It's thick, so you're going to need to carry it. Yes. You are just pack-mules for me," she told them bluntly as she continued on ahead.

Seto nodded off to two of the ZECTroopers, to which they reluctantly began their labor work. After setting up a stretcher, they placed the remains on it, making sure that they could take as much as the stretcher could hold and carry. Seto placed away his spear and held the front while the two ZECTroopers gripped it from the back.

"There's more material," she stated, "I'll need the rest of you for the rest of the lifting." She looked at the two with the stretcher, "Return to base camp with that. The rest of us will move on to obtain the rest." She walked on ahead. She had no care for the menial labor she was inflicting upon these soldiers.

Seto eyed one of the troopers, who nodded in confirmation, so the Kurokage Rider passed his duty onto him and he proceeded to follow Ms. Blanco deeper into the forest.
As they trekked deeper, Seto started getting a bit cautious. Normally it'd be a good thing that no Kaijin were showing, but the fact they have to encountered one in this enigmatic location that's alive and kicking seemed off - awfully off.

She stopped, "This corpse is worthless," she said, "We're moving deeper." The corpse in question was the remains of a fur-covered Makamou. That was worthless. She wanted things that had shells or teeth or claws for the sake of conversion.
As she started off again, she drew out the dead Suika Lock Seed she kept in her pocket and began to toy with it, moving it around her hand, clicking the lock open and closed.

Seto eyed the fur-covered Makamou with disgust as he continued onward. The next thing to catch his attention was the presence of a lockseed that their VIP pulled out in front of him. It was Suika and Seto eyed it curiously behind her back. He knew of its armored capabilities and the raw power it can provide if used in tandem with the Sengoku Driver...

"It's dead," she told Seto, not bothering to look at him. She didn't even check to see if he was looking at her, she just knew, "The power source on it died long ago, and there's no way to repair it. I've tried, it's beyond me and the Yggdrasil notes. It's just a bauble now."

Once more the ZECTroopers got to work with Seto supervising and observing the remains. It no doubt looked like a crab kaijin...

Cristina watched as two sets of two took the remains, leaving her with Seto and two other ZECTroopers.
"Forward," she said, walking on and pocketing the Seed. She figured others would catch up soon enough.
