Tessa was on her way home from school, holding her books tight to her chest. She figured she was fitting in well enough, spending most of her time studying and such, but she wasn't sure if that was an actual thing in Japan or just stories. She hadn't even figured that out in her time in the country yet.
Some days she wanted to just go and find something to do, but she didn't know what. And then there was what would happen if she did. Or rather, what could happen. That power that was inside of her...that made her...what did it make her? She didn't even know what to call it. But it scared her, the implications of having it. She didn't want to risk having to do anything with it.

Miki stepped out of her home and locked the door as she went outside for what seemed like weeks. She had run out of food to eat and she needed to buy some things, she didn't think that she would run out of things so soon, but perhaps she had overeaten. She didn't like going out, she felt oppressed whenever she went out and she liked to avoid people as much as possible. She knew that this wasn't the way to live, but it was the only way that she knew how to live so she had to work with that and hope that one day she would be able to hold a conversation.
Looking around she was glad to see that there weren't a lot of people around since that would make her panic attacks lessen as she continued to walk towards the convenience store.

Tessa turned off to go back home. This was a bit of a longer way, but it also was easier, because there were less people. It wasn't that she didn't like people, it was that it was far less congested and just easier to walk through. There was a store not far, but even with that it didn't seem like a lot of people went this way.

Miki saw the store and went in scanning the place as she saw that it was relatively empty as she hesitantly took a step in before grabbing a basket and beginning to put items in.

Tessa stopped and sighed before turning back. No, she needed some things from the store... She headed over and inside, shifting her books around so she could actually use her arms.

Miki was still inside the store as she was pondering whether or not which brand of milk would be better for her, ultimately it wouldn't matter, but Miki was prone to actually zoning out as she bit her fingernails as she continued to stare at the two bottles of milk.

Tessa went around and picked up a few items before going to look at milk. Her parents would complain if she wasn't getting enough, since it was important and all of that stuff. She saw another girl was there already, so she just kind of hung back a bit.

Miki was still thinking about the milk before her hand reached out and grab a bottle as she put it in the basket and walked towards the counter. She then saw Tessa looking at her and the bottles as she felt uncomfortable, "Did you...want this milk?" she asked.

Tessa was surprised, but then shook her head quickly, "No," she said, "I was just waiting for you to be done..." She had seen the other girl looking between options and didn't want to bother her, so she's just kept back.

"I...see..." Miki said embarrassed that she had gotten her assumptions wrong, "sorry about that," as she stood back to allow Tessa to continue forward.

"It's fine," Tessa said, going over and looking. She knew what she was looking for, so it only took her a few moments to find it and put it in her basket.

Miki looked at the woman, she was a foreigner that was for sure, and she didn't seem to come here often. But then again Miki rarely ventured out of her room so she wouldn't know as she continued to watch the woman trying to figure out where she came from or what she did for a living.

She turned to go, kind of surprised the other girl was still there. She just tried to ignore it and headed away from the milk.

Miki continued to watch her as she tried to recall where she had seen the woman's face before, she looked familiar and Miki had watched a lot of news program just to pass the time. However she had a hard time recalling where she had seen the woman before, "US? No not there," she said to herself, "England maybe? She had a slight English accent."

[OOC: I screwed up her profile a bit. Born in New York, lived there a bit, then was in England for a while]
Tessa passed her by and just headed to pay for her things.
