Two Sailors [Miki]

[Miki Tanbe]

Miki turned towards Tessa, "Why do you bother? Aren't we just going to get killed one day?" she asked fearfully.

"Not with the right training," the cat said, "if you train right you can become stronger than you can ever imagine. Believe me I know the potential all Scouts hold, but it all depends on the person," as it nodded at Tessa, "good I'll be in contact with you shortly," as it turned to Miki.

"But I...I don't know..." she said.

"Believe in yourself Miki and you can do it, I know you can, you don't have to make your decision now. But you will have to make it soon," as it flicked its tail side-to-side, "they are nearly upon us and we need to act quickly."

She looked at Miki, "Even if I do die because of this someday...I...I still want to protect as many lives as I can before it happens. If I didn't, then I couldn't live with myself," she explained.

[Miki Tanbe]

Miki didn't respond back to Tessa as she continued to remain silent as the cat exhaled, "For the moment you both need to rest from your injuries, Tessa can you make your way back to your accommodation or would you prefer to stay in Miki's place since it's closer," as Miki looked up. But then down knowing that she couldn't turn away someone who was injured, she may be a loner, but it didn't mean that she didn't have a sense of moral.

"I can try to make it back to my home," she said, "I'd rather rest there, where I'm more comfortable." She also didn't want to burden another wounded girl. She'd rather just take care of herself where she knew where everything was.

[Miki Tanbe]

"Alright," the cat said, "I'll stay with Miki," as the girl didn't complain. "Don't be discouraged, nothing works of the first time," as Miki got up not wanting to hear anymore as she began walking back to her home. She stopped momentarily and turned slightly towards Tessa, "I'm sorry..." she said before resuming her walk.

She looked at Miki, confused. Sorry? Sorry for what. Tessa didn't say anything and just continued to walk on.
