Drench looked nervously at the future machine. It must have detected his appearance in this time.
"I think it might be after me." he said slowly.

The tips of the tentacles began to glow an eerie red.

The robotic flying squid then began to pelt the beach with red hot laser beams, obliterating anything unfortunate enough to get in the line of fire.

Drench ran further up the beach, trying to avoid any lasers sent his way.

The robot squid ignored the vikings completely, choosing to focus solely on Drench. It moved maybe ten miles an hour, but it had deadly range.

Once Drench realised that it was only focusing on him, he had to think quickly. He took cover behind a rock, quickly thinking of a battle plan.

The robot squid ceased firing, though kept its single robotic eye trained on Drench's hiding spot.

Drench held a thumb to his Chrono Changer and felt himself morph. Hopefully, this thing wasn't immune to swords. Calling on the Double Vector, he jumped from his hiding spot and ran towards the squidroid, in an uncharacteristic display of bravado.

A small lizard cried out in surprise when Drench lept over the rock, scurrying away as fast it could. As soon as that happened, the squidroid resumed firing at Drench.

Drench jumped right at the squidbot, jumping much higher than he anticipated.
And then he was blasted by a laser and fell to the ground.

Drench managed to survive the full on blast thanks to his suit.
The squidroid was hovering over the beach now, its shadow looming over Drench.
A tentacle charged it energy, preparing to fire at Drench, only for an ax to fly through, knocking it out of the way and causing its laser to miss Drench completely.
The vikings roared before charging towards Drench and the squidroid.

Drench turned and spotted the vikings charging into battle. He stood and called forth the Double Vector, intending to join them in battle.

The squidroid shifted its focus to the charging vikings, firing off a few shoots, most of which only singed them.

Taking the opportunity, Drench jumped up to the squid-bot's body, making attempts to stab it in wherever its more vital circuitry was.
