"This is why I hate magic," the man grumbled, "You mages can just pull whatever shit out of your asses, no consistency, no build up. Just pure bullshit."
He then took his right hand and plunged the fingers into the dirt, causing a molten barrier to spring forth before him, blocking Mayu's tornado.
"Good thing I've got my own fair amount of bullshit."

"Let's finish this." Mayu said simply. "And try not to be too angry. You're facing something of a legend, after all." She sheaths a gold and diamond ring on her left middle finger, and uses it.
"Eternity: Now."
"Hi-Sui-Fu-Dou, Eieeen-ni-ko-dou!"
Her power level would spike. Matching his at least, but perhaps outclassing him at the same time. Eternity Style wasn't something she broke out too often. She uses a ring on her right middle finger. A low level spell from a multi-purpose ring.
"Snow: Now."
A brief snow storm passes over Hana, momentarily freeing her from the negative effects of the magma for a very short time.

The temperature around her dropped and Hana felt her own magical power course through her. She stood up, no longer needing her staff for support.
Thank you, she nodded wordlessly as she stared down their collective enemy.
The Magma Man grumbled, "I don't like the look of this.. That shine shit was one thing, I could handle that, but now you've gone and completely unbalanced things..You mages just don't like playing on an even field huh?"
He removed his fingers from the ground, balled them up into a fist, and then slammed into the ground with great force. It didn't seem to do anything.. until the ground beneath them began to shake violently and the buildings around them began to crumble further, a piece falling off over Mayu.
"Look out!" Hana cried, she didn't doubt that the Magi who wasn't a Magi could survive it, but her body moved anyway. She just couldn't stand the sight of someone in danger. She pointed her staff at the falling rumble and let out a sharp blast of ice, freezing it in place before sending another blast to shatter it into a million pieces.
Using all of that distraction, the Magma Man managed to cover his part of the area completely in smog from his mouth hole before hightailing it out of there, in one piece.

The mage remained calm, blinking. She was about to summon her Dragon into a corporeal weapon form when Hana acted instead, and she watched the white Magi save her life. When the smog cleared, she shook her head. "He got away." she said simply. "I wonder who he was."

"Welcome to the club." Mayu shrugged a bit, still wary as she looks around, the lighting making her armor look absolutely majestic. "I'll destroy him next time."

"The tale of the Magi is long and encompasses before even the beginning of human history, it would be too much to explain," she shook her head, "I will say though that denizens of great power, almost god-like, were..defeated by their enemies and their power now courses through several chosen humans. It is my goal, no my mission, to find these Magi and train them to use their power, not just for their own benefit, but for the world's."

She looked around, "If what you said about the world was true, i'll need to do some investigating of my own.."

Hana nodded, walking slowly as she surveyed the area, she eventually came upon the door she had arrived through, a little singed, but still very much intact.
"Here we are," she said opening it and revealing a well lit Victorian-style hallway that seemed to stretch for who knows how long before them, "Welcome to the House of M."
