Changes [Mayu]

[Mayu Inamori]

"A magic dimension.." She trails off, looking around, before nodding to her. "Impressive. I'm pleased to be your guest."

[Hana, Aurora, & Jane]

"Take my hand," she said reaching out her hand extended and palm opened, "You can't exactly come inside if you're not a Magi. I'm going to cheat by extending my power to you for a brief moment."

[Mayu Inamori]

Mayu reaches out and grasps her hand firmly, letting the other perform what she had to perform.

[Hana, Aurora, & Jane]

Hana took a deep breath and then stepped through the threshold, pulling Mayu with her. When the two were safely inside, Hana closed the door.

"If you need to return to that place or any other place, just ask. The House can send you practically anywhere. The hallway is not a good place to talk, we'll head to my room."

She then released the other woman's hand before continuing down the hallway, the torches on the wall coming to life as she passed them.

"Understood." She said with a nod, following the other and taking in the details of the house. The elder mage was rather quiet, pausing outside of the door before going inside after Hana.

[Hana, Aurora, & Jane]

"Be careful not to wander," she said to the mage, "It's really easy to get lost."

She spoke from experience.

She continued down the hallway until reaching a white door, her name carved into it.

"Here we are."

She released the barrier overlaying it before opening the door and stepping inside, holding it open for the other woman.

"Come in, come in."

Quietly heeding the magi's words, Mayu wordlessly followed her, and then gingerly steps through into your abode. She promptly removes her shoes and places them next to the door.

Hana did much of the same. Her white carpet was easily dirtied and the cleaning service hadn't shown their faces in this part of the House since that thing arrived. But that was none of Mayu's concern.

"So," she said before taking a seat on her own bed, "What can you tell me about this event - the Convergence? As well as the world you came from."

[Mayu Inamori]

"I will speak of what I know. The Convergence is an event brought about partially by magic, and partially by other means. Best I can see, two worlds, mine and yours, were thrown together. Unexpected changes happen, like for example in my world the city of Paris is fully destroyed. When this happened? Bam, there's half of Paris there and half of it not, if that makes any sense."

Mayu continues after a bit. "Magic is mostly believed to be a myth in my world. But it is real. A white magician conspired to use magic wrongfully, and released beings called Phantoms into the world. It was these beings that destroyed my family when I was 17 years old, my sister having become one herself. When I had returned to Japan and found out the news, I was majorly distraught. And when she destroyed a charm that she'd made for me, it seems that was the thing that was supporting my heart. Without it, it felt hopeless, and purple cracks began to appear on my body. This is what's known as falling to despair. The majority of those who do do not survive. But, if one were to survive, and not lose hope, then they would suppress the Phantom within them, and earn the right to become a mahoutsukai. This happened, in my case. And I went on to defeat my sister, and help defeat, or what we thought was defeat, the Phantom menace at the time."

She sighs a bit. "And then the war came. Shocker, a master organization of evil, acted in many different ways against the world. Yet for the many different ways they acted, there was a Kamen Rider to oppose them. Some fought alongside the enemy. But most stood against them. Kamen Riders are protectors of human freedom. Not necessarily justice, in all cases. But freedom of choice. Alas, my world as you have entered it is in a very bleak state. Everything's fragmented, while Shin-Shocker is getting stronger."

[Hana, Aurora, & Jane]

"I see.." she said, trying to take it all in, "Thank you for telling me all of this. I can't tell you anymore about the Magi's origins as it is forbidden to tell outsiders, but I can happily tell you about the world I come from."

She took a deep breath before continuing with exposition, "Our world was fairly normal. People went to work, had families. Sure there were monsters here and there, but there were always Rangers to defeat them and protect the innocent. Rangers are kinda like your Kamen Riders, except we always operate in teams. We may not pose as large as threat individually, but together - together we have the power to change the world."

She paused, letting the other woman process this before continuing with, "Though Rangers typically work together, we usually only worked within in our own teams. That all changed when many of us joined forces against the invading Zangyack. The Zangyack are a powerful intergalactic Empire who it seems to have conquered scores of planets before it got to ours. They've apparently never encountered Rangers before so they underestimated us and that led to their downfall. That was only the initial attack though, there have been many since to varying degrees. They're probably still there with their gigantic spaceship, looming among the moons of Jupiter."

Mayu listened carefully, taking it all in. "Sounds right up there with Shocker, this, Zangyack, enemy. Is there any kind of united front for the Rangers against them? Or is it piecemealed here and there?"

[Hana, Aurora, & Jane]

"The later," Hana replied, "We have united a few times here and there, but most of us are too preoccupied with our own problems, myself included. I fight the Zangyack whenever I can, but i'm afraid my duty as my Magi comes foremost and my enemy far exceeds even them.."

[Mayu Inamori]

"I see." Mayu nods softly. "There's a few organizations in our world. like the United Rider Systems Alliance, SAINT, the main magic organization, and others. But they don't have a wide-spread pull. They can only do so much, but are also embroiled in their own problems. I'm not with any of them yet, though I have been keeping an eye on a young Wizard from SAINT." she explained.

[Hana, Aurora, & Jane]

"I see.." she sighed, "Then it seems with this Convergence, comes a whole new set of problems for all of us..I will need to speak with these people, this SAINT. I would not wish to come to blows with them if they feel threatened on their turf."

[Mayu Inamori]

"Be careful." Mayu said to her. "The reason I have not aligned myself with SAINT is because I am uncertain of their goals. I don't want to fight other humans, only monsters. But, if you should go, perhaps I should accompany you. Along with the young Wizard, perhaps things can remain peaceful."
