Talk of alien abduction has been nothing new. For decades it was dismissed as the ramblings of the insane and the attention seekers, but after the invasion only a few months prior, it doesn't seem so farfetched now. Ever since the beginning of the summer, the number of missing persons has skyrocketed not only across the US, but the rest of the world. Nobody is quite sure what's going on and the governments of the world are doing their best not to let their own citizens go into a state of panic..
Night falls across the city and all is quiet, but nobody is safe, not even in your own homes..

Sonya stirred in her bed, she had stayed in San Diego a bit longer than anticipated with Will hoping to find the other Celestial Rangers, the word about the recent disapperances occurring though had prompted her to return home. She did need to keep her own friends and family safe after all, she still kept close contact with Will regardless on the disappearances.
On this particular night though, Sonya was having trouble sleeping. Whether it was just a bout of insomnia or something else, she did not know. Deciding a midnight snack could cure her sleeplessness, she rose from bed and headed for the fridge.

It was there in her kitchen that Sonya came face to face with a floating metallic sphere about the size of a person. It made no sounds or had no face with which to gauge reaction, but it seemed to be fixed on Sonya.

The sight of a large metallic orb in her apartment was enough for her to draw out her morpher.

The sphere began to hum as it collected energy, preparing to fire right at Sonya.
From a camera built-in, a mysterious man in a mysterious place watched this event transpire on his monitor as he sat back and enjoyed a glass of wine.

Not that she needed any more proof, but Sonya was convinced the giant sphere preparing to fire an energy blast at her was definitely not friendly and rolled out of the way. Quickly, she tried to insert the Change Card into her morpher.

The sphere fired, missing Sonya completely, but took a good chuck out of her kitchen wall. The sphere began to hum once more, as saying to Sonya "you're not getting away that easily."
The man on the other end laughed, "This one has spunk. This could prove to be quite..amusing.."

"дерьмо", Sonya cursed as she activated her morpher, that was going to piss off the landlord.
Now fully transformed, she considered taking her Header out, but remembered she was living in an apartment complex with other people and didn't want to risk collateral.
Need to get this thing out of here. With that, Sonya leaped out through the hole left in her kitchen, landing smoothly on the ground.

The sphere fired once more, making an even bigger hole than the first one. Instead of moving through this hole, however, the sphere phased right through the floor.
In mere moments, the sphere reappeared as it materialized through the ground outside, in front of Sonya.

Damn it's fast. But at least she got it out in the open for a charged Blaster shot as she opened fire.

The blasts bounced off its thick platting like they merely gnats hitting a truck that was going 70 MPH. It slowly floated closer, once more humming to life with deadly power before blasting at Sonya.

Realizing her shots were having no effect, she again dodged out of the way of its attack
Having surmised that it was impervious to energy attacks, Sonya raised her ax and attempted to charge at the orb before it could ready another attack, swinging her blade with all her might.

The ax managed to break through the shell's outer layer, but before it could get any further a silver hand oozed out and grabbed at Sonya's arm.
The man was at full attention now, having just poured himself another glass of wine.
"Don't think you'll overcome my creation so easily, child," he smirked.

Sonya struggled to break free as the hand's grip tightened its hold. Thinking quickly, she grabbed her Blaster with her free hand and unloaded on the now exposed section of the sphere.

The hand released its grip as the sphere crashed to the ground. Instead of a humming sound, clapping could be heard from it.
"Very good," said a voice projected by the sphere, "Very good, indeed."
