"For the record, I don't normally act like this" Sonya said as she demorphed, no doubt conscious of the rather brutal matter with which she dispatched the creature. "Guess I can get carried away sometimes".

She nodded, "I can understand that. More or less." Not personally, but she did get the gist of why someone would act that way. She started to mix herbs together and smash them around as she set to making some sort of healing remedy. Sure, stitches or something might be better, but she wanted to provide some help.

"So, you're a Ranger as well" Sonya asked. "What brings you here?"

"Exploring the damage, mostly," she said as she ground it into a paste. She held it out, "Take this. It'll dull the pain and hopefully speed recovery."

Sonya muttered "Thanks" as she applied the salve to her wound. She grimaced for a few seconds before the pain finally started to soothe.

"Well we have everyone pointing the finger from the Zangyack, to terrorists, to God's wrath." She said "Quite frankly I'm amazed we even weathered through it".
She then remembered she hadn't even asked her name "Oh, my father would get on my case if I forgot my manners, Sonya Kovalev, and you?" She asked while extending a hand.

"I've gotten used to not doing names, so please forgive me for not answering you," she responded. Living and running had made her keep giving aliases and fake names, rarely giving her true identity. She no longer had to run, and things were different now, but still, it was a habit she didn't drop yet.

"Alright, have it your way", she replied. Were she a suspicious woman, Sonya would think the other Ranger had something to hide, but she let it pass for now.
She took a glance at their surroundings, the area was still evacuated though she could hear the sirens. "We should probably move before the police and press get here".

Caryn nodded, "Yeah, let's get going." She came to her feet and pocketed her Morpher, "Caryn," she said, "Sorry. It's just been a habit for so long that I wouldn't give my name..."

"It's fine, I'm sure you got your reasons", she replied as she walked up the pier. "You wanna grab a coffee? We can probably talk more there".

"It doesn't matter to me," she told Sonya, "I could be here, I could be back home, it doesn't really matter. Your choice."

"We're settled. I think there's a place not too far here, the coffee's not that great, but they serve pretty good pastries".

She gestured outwards, "Lead the way then, if you would."

Sonya led the way, leaving the area just as the police and press arrived at the scene.
"So, you from around here or just visiting? I'm assuming its the former". Sonya asked as they walked down the street.
